The Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program at Lincoln Memorial University–Knoxville invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy. This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position primarily focused on teaching cadaver-based human anatomy, neuroscience, kinesiology, and epidemiology and pathology to students in LMU’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.
 
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with faculty to integrate anatomical knowledge into clinical skills and evidence-based practice, ensuring alignment with the program’s learning objectives. This role includes fostering a dynamic, student-centered learning environment that promotes critical thinking, inquiry, and the practical application of anatomical principles in occupational therapy.
 
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have an earned doctorate from an institution recognized regionally and accredited by the U.S. Department of Education (ABD may be considered).
*The academic and experiential qualifications and backgrounds (identified in documented descriptions of roles and responsibilities) that are necessary to meet program objectives and the mission of the institution. *Documented current expertise in their assigned area(s) of teaching responsibility and student advisement. *Effectiveness in teaching and evaluation of student learning. *Faculty must maintain ongoing scholarly achievement and research expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in higher education. Academic rank will be commensurate with training and experience. Candidates have an earned doctorate in Human Anatomy or a related area from an institution recognized regionally and accredited by the U.S. Department of Education (ABD may be considered).
